Kitchen Assistant (Part Time)
About us:
We are a small independent family run cafe specialising in healthy Vietnamese food based in Lower Clapton.
We have 8 tables in the cafe alongside delivery and takeaway orders so we are looking for staff who can work flexibly & have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Role overview:
Kitchen Assistants will mainly be helping with prepping food
Immediate start - from £13.15 per hour increasing based on experience and time with us
Hours - Part Time & Full Time available: Monday - Wednesday Daytime & Thursday - Saturday Evening shifts available - 25 hours up to 40 hours per week
Healthy staff meals and drinks (Of Course!)
Role responsibilities depending on position:
Helping with prep of meat & vegetables before service
Preparation of raw ingredients during service - washing, chopping, peeling
Basic preparation and assembly of dishes during service
Cleaning & stocking ingredients in stock room
Keeping kitchen & cafe areas clean
Helping prep food before & during service
Cleaning dishes, bowls & kitchen equipment during service
General cleaning
You:
Previous experience in the hospitality industry
Good level of English required
A real passion for good food!
Working knowledge of HACCP + health + safety
Are pro active, organised, efficient and calm under pressure
Reliable & Punctual
Keen to progress in a growing business that treats employees like family!
